Full Moon Trips

This is a unique opportunity to be on the river at one of the most magical times – under a full moon!

We will head out to the river mid-afternoon and cross to one of our favorite islands. There we will get a fire going, enjoy the evening and eat dinner together, and watch the rising of the full moon.

Around 9pm we will start paddling back, the light of the moon guiding our way.

Feel free to bring a sketchbook, camera, or musical instrument – you may feel inspired!

This trip is open to everyone of all ages (minors to be accompanied by an adult!) - no previous experience necessary. We all paddle together in our big canoes with the best guides on the Mississippi.

We meet at 2pm (3pm in the Summer) and return to land around 10pm, with new friends and our souls topped up with a little more magic and spirit of adventure… oh, and no, there are no alligators or other beasts that will come out at night to nibble you - you’ll be completely safe!

Pack any electronics or valuables in dry bag, dry box, or zip lock bags
We’ll pack a 5-gal jug of water to refill your personal water bottles.
Dress appropriately for weather. Wear shoes that can get muddy and wet (or go barefoot).
BYOD – Bring your own dinner and/or snacks. Bring a cold meal, or a dish to reheat over the fire. Quapaw will provide water, silverware, and dutch ovens for reheating food over a fire.
